Weekly Update 13: July 14-20

  • objected to applications to remove noise and customer management conditions from Sambuca restaurant on the Quayside and noise management conditions from Bar Loco on Leazes Park Road. Good conditions help businesses and residents co-exist and I am always concerned about any attempts to reduce them.
  • withdrew an objection that I had made to a new licence for a restaurant in the Groat Market after they agreed to change their closing time to 1am, which is within the framework of core hours set out in the Licensing Policy.
  • supported residents who are having problems with their landlords.
