This week I:

• had a meeting with the refuse team on Westgate Road to look at the bin situation. It’s much better since the team has been able to pick up most of the bins on the back lane but there are a couple of properties that don’t have access to the lane so their bins are collected at the front. We looked at whether they could be stored away from the pavement. We also spotted a couple of abandoned bins that will be removed. (If you seen any bins that you think are abandoned, please get in touch.
• contacted the transport team about the situation on Blackett Street. There are supposed to be restrictions on cars using Blackett Street but they are being ignored. This is delaying buses and causes problems for pedestrians.
• continued to support residents who are concerned about the Crown Buildings planning application.
• asked some more questions about The Cedars leasehold issue.
